Wrong bill amount

Compare the bill's units with your meter reading first. If the reading on the bill does not match the meter, call 118 or visit the sub-division office with a photo of the meter.

Bill not received

Do not wait for the paper copy — get your duplicate bill online and pay before the due date to avoid the surcharge.

Load-shedding / fault

Report faults on 118. For planned load-shedding, schedules are announced by GEPCO for your feeder — the helpline can confirm your feeder's timings.

Not sure if your address is GEPCO or another company (LESCO / FESCO / IESCO border areas)? Your bill's header names the company — or call 118.

Net metering (solar) — in short

With net metering, a bi-directional meter records the solar units you export to GEPCO — they are adjusted against the units you import. Your solar system first powers your home; surplus units flow out to the grid, and at night or on cloudy days you draw units back. The bill charges you for the net difference, plus the usual fixed charges and taxes.

General route to apply

  • Get the system installed by an AEDB-certified installer / vendor.
  • Apply for net metering through GEPCO with the application, CNIC, latest paid bill and system documents your installer prepares.
  • GEPCO inspects the installation, signs the agreement and replaces the meter with a bi-directional one.
  • Exported units start appearing on your bill after activation — they are printed on the bill, see the Reference Number page.

Rules, rates for exported units and paperwork are set nationally and can change — confirm the current position with GEPCO (helpline 118) or your certified installer before investing.
